Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Westfields Hospital & Clinic's Surgery Department provides direct care that meets both the psychosocial and physical needs of the surgical patient. As a Circulator, you will be responsible for planning and directing all nursing care for patients undergoing operative and gastrointestinal procedures. These responsibilities include setting up for surgical cases/procedures, intra-operative care of the patient, phase 1 and phase 2 recovery and conscious sedation administration and recovery. Must be supportive and able to work well within a team environment.

Work Schedule:

  • 1.0 FTE/40 hours weekly
  • Days into the evenings with a on-call and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications:

  • Nursing degree from an accredited college.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications. Strong knowledge base of diseases, surgical procedures and care required.
  • Able to prioritize and multitask while adapting well to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Sound physical assessment skills for patients across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric)
  • Prior OR (Operating Room) Nursing experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EPIC computer system.
